Catching up.
Hello, I haven't blogged in a few days because I've actually been doing stuff (I know, unbelievable, right?!). Lets backtrack a few days to Saturday.
I quite enjoyed the Doctor Who episode, but I had a few issues with it. I won't go into it now, but I may some other time.
Sunday, my brother and I took our dog, Lily, for a long walk.
It looks beautifully sunny in the photos, but it was freezing and had been raining all morning.
Monday was a bank holiday here, meaning my dad didn't have to work. He picked us up and we drove for an hour and a half to this huge house in the countryside which his girlfriend was house sitting. I met her kids for the first time which was awkward, but then I was saved when she took us on a 'house tour'. It was being refurbished so didn't look so great, but I think it will be incredible when its finished (apparently the owners are currently selling one of their other houses for several million!). Then everyone but me went for a swim in the pool, I got out of it by saying I had forgotten my swimming costume but in reality I felt particularly self-concious that day and didn't want to expose myself.
Yesterday my brother and I had a lazy morning watching the VMA's in our pyjamas. After lunch we went into town to use the vouchers dad had given us for the summer (a milkshake each and a giftcard from hmv).
We brought Transformers 2, Miss Congeniality and How I Met Your Mother Seasons 1 and 2. A bit random I know.
I ran into Boots to pick up some clear vanish and new foundation, but couldn't find a good foundation. I didn't want to spend lots on a rubbish one, so I brought one which cost £1.99 and will go back and get a proper one another day. We then met up with dad who took us out to dinner at this lovely italian restaurant.
I haven't done much today, mainly just chores. I did sort through the photos on my laptop and send some to my mum, which made her super happy.
Hmm, this post is by far the longest I've written so far! (or at least it feels like it due to the photos).
It's time for me to go now, I hope you have a lovely evening.

Doctor who returns
tonight, which I am incredibly excited about. The plan for the rest of today is to write this blog post, read, cook dinner and then a night in front of the telly.
But first, lets backtrack to yesterday in which I went to my friends. We watched Wild Target (a rather messy yet funny film with a fab cast: Rupert Grint, Bill Nighly, Emily Blunt, Martin Freeman etc.) and Knight and Day. We then carried on the accidental spy/assassin theme into a game of Cluedo, won by me thank you very much, and disney trivia. We also played Harry Potter Scene It, which I would have won if the other girls weren't stopping my turn to play. We munched on crisps and dip and ate this odd cheese bap thing for lunch. Afterwards the girls ate cheesecake, which I got out of and ate raspberries and grapes instead. I got in just as mum was leaving to pick up the chinese takeaway she had ordered- bang goes the relatively healthy eating.
This morning I helped to unpack the shopping in which this really cool tin came attached to my pads. I then sat down and talked about University options with mum for ages, and then showed my brother pictures of some places I wanted to apply to. For lunch I had tomato soup and then I watched Miss Congeniality with mum.
I have just realised that the first picture I have ever uploaded onto my blog is a picture of a tin to keep pads in. I shall remedy that by this picture, which is the most up-to-date photo I have of myself.

It is not a great picture, but I took it for my dailybooth just before I left yesterday.
That is all for now, I hope you have a lovely day and tune into Doctor Who tonight!
Bye!

Lets all go swimming.
A reference to the weather outside, its tipping it down. I mention it because I have to go out in a bit, admittedly only across the road but still, and because it is to blame for my bad mood. Cramps, ear ache and very loud rain do not make a good nights sleep.
I'm going to see three of my friends, I believe we are just watching films, yet this will probably entail snacking- not good for me!
Yesterday I ate a bit better: a bowl of rice krispies with strawberries, pasta in a cheese sauce, a slice of carrot cake *insert shamed face here* and lasagne (without cheese or sauce, so literally just the meat, vegetables and pasta). No exercise, except for dancing around my room like lunatic.
That's all for now I think, going to go and get ready. Will blog later.
Oh, as a side note I finished Atonement. Not sure why, but I was disappointed with the ending.
Au reviour!

Progress
Good morning all.
In terms of health, yesterday was horrific. After blogging I became ill and ate really poorly. Today however, shall be different. I woke up at 8am to go on a bike ride, forgetting about my loose breaks and ended up nearly crashing into a football post. I figured twenty minutes riding was enough after that! I have no plans for today, I hope to finish my forth book of the summer, Atonement by Ian McEwan though. I did start to read it a couple of years ago but found it started a bit slow. I still feel it drags a little, but I'm working through it. The novel is on my reading list from my college which is why I was keen to read it (that and we already had it, saving money like the boss!)..
In terms of my friends, a few of us are going round to my mates house on Friday, which should be super fabulous as I haven't seen them properly all summer, only briefly when collecting our results.
May update later, but if not, blog you tomorrow :)

Introduction
Hello, my name is Sophie. Before I say anything more, 'A Teenage Primrose' does not mean anything in particular. I chose it as I could not think of a title that I would be happy with, it popped into my head and sounded kind of lovely, so I settled.
I am seventeen years of age, and in two weeks time I am going to start my second year of college, in which I will complete my A Levels and will hopefully then go off to University. I received my AS results last week, 4B's and 2D's. I'm a little disappointed with the 2D's and felt that I could have gotten an A in one grade, but overall it is enough to get me back into college, so I must be happy for that!
I wanted to start this blog really for personal use, a way of tracking my progress through the year ahead. College is a major part of this, but another factor this blog will contain is my health. I am overweight, eat unhealthily and rarely exercise. All of my friends are at least three dress sizes smaller than me and I am fed up of feeling like the ugly duckling of the group. So, starting from today I am going to try and improve my diet and exercise regime in the hope of losing a stone by next summer. Just typing that out sounds crazy, I can't see it happening, but I intend to give it a go!
There isn't really a lot else to say about me. I like performing arts, reading, cooking, I listen to music a lot and am a little addicted to Tumblr. I don't have a wide social group, but that is another thing I hope to work on this year, making more of an effort with my friends.
I think this is it for now. If you have read this far I thank and applaud you. I hope you check in on my progress.
